, which continues to operate outside the United States, Canada, and India. Founded in 1980, Mail Boxes Etc., Inc. was acquired by UPS in 2001. Starting in April 2003, Mail Boxes Etc. locations in the United States re-branded as "The UPS Store". The UPS Store brand was later used at centers in Canada and India. All remaining Mail Boxes Etc. locations in the United States will either convert to The UPS Store brand or close by 2012.
