Their song was selected from amongst the 200 singers and bands around Russia that participated in the national selection competition. In the national final held on 4 June 2006 they were finally chosen from 20 acts to represent their country in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which they won clearly. They received 154 points, beating Belarus that got 129 points.

The twins released an album called Polovinki in 2007, and have appeared in a made-for-TV movie in Russia.

The twins appeared in the opening act of the first semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest 2009
