. The building had previously housed a cinema, although it mainly screened X-rated films.

The Screen Room closed its doors in 2011. A message left on the official website reads;

"The Screen Room is now closed. Our 9 year lease came to an end in January and we have decided not to renew it - time to move on! We would like to thank everyone for their custom over the last 8 and a half years and wish them well for the future. p.s. If you think you might have ever left your umbrella in the cinema do get in touch - we have at least 30 of them in lost property!!"
