Under the leadership of late Ednan Shahid the newspaper enjoyed a wide acceptance because of its content and bold policy.

The newspaper ranked among the top five English newspapers of the country.

There were more than 250 journalists working for The Post newspaper. The last Editor of The Post was Humaira Awais Shahid wife of late Editor Ednan Shahid. She was trying to give it a global perspective, when in November 2010, the management of Khabrain Group of Publications stopped the daily publication of The Post.
