The Post was a national daily newspaper

, owned by Khabrain Group of newspapers. Attempting to rival the existing newspapers, it had brought a new vision into the modern journalism. It was founded on August 14, 2005 by late Ednan Shahid. The paper had its resident offices at Islamabad
and Karachi
. The Post headquarter was based in Lahore
under the ownership of Zia Shahid who also owns Khabrain Group of newspapers.
Under the leadership of late Ednan Shahid the newspaper enjoyed a wide acceptance because of its content and bold policy.
The newspaper ranked among the top five English newspapers of the country.
There were more than 250 journalists working for The Post newspaper. The last Editor of The Post was Humaira Awais Shahid wife of late Editor Ednan Shahid. She was trying to give it a global perspective, when in November 2010, the management of Khabrain Group of Publications stopped the daily publication of The Post.
