The company's stated goal is to produce high quality digital programming on a wide variety of niche topics to global audiences and to attempt to re-invent media business models and formats by leveraging emerging production and distribution technologies and harnessing the global increase in citizen media

History

Mick Stanic announced on his personal blog that he had left TPN on 19 May 2006, as his presence was holding back both the growth of TPN and his own life.

TPN was once Australia’s largest podcast network, however in recent years and after a major hacker attack on its network, many of its shows have fallen victim to the fading interests of content producers (podfade) or podcasters simply moving shows to other networks.

Awards

In December 2006, The Podcast Network was selected by EContent Magazine as one of their Top 100 "companies that matter most in the digital content industry".
