The Nobel School is an oversubscribed secondary school of average size. Almost all pupils are White British. In the summer of 2010, construction as part of the BSF (former governments Building Schools for the Future program) began. Building work continues as of 2011. The work should finish October 2012. Students are now housed in temporal accommodation while the school is being torn down and rebuilt around them.
