The New Perspective

The New Perspective is a student operated newspaper that has been published for the community of Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin
since 1874. TNP is free and distributed throughout the campus and city.
In 1968, the name of the paper was changed from the Carroll Echo to the Perspective. This was not a separate publication from the Carroll Echo; it was simply a name change.
In 1976, Gary Stevens, the faculty advisor for the newspaper, suggested the editor-in-chief position be replaced with an editorial staff. The Student Senate approved the idea. With this change came another name change, to the New Perspective.
In 2010, under the direction of faculty advisor Dan Becker, the paper officially titled itself as The New Perspective through a branding overhaul led by Design Editor Erik Endres.

Circulation
The New Perspective is published every other Tuesday during the academic year, except during holidays, semester breaks, and exam periods and has an environmentally sized circulation of 1,500.History
At its conception in 1874, the paper was originally known as the Carroll Echo. Through its tenure, the paper became more sophisticated as it added photographs and cartoons, making it much more like a modern newspaper.In 1968, the name of the paper was changed from the Carroll Echo to the Perspective.
