Background

Regarding the album title, Omar revealed on his website that it's "a metaphor for the aftermath of a catastrophe. Whether that catastrophe is the current state of the music industry, my personal troubles, or even my birth, [this album] is the product of all of those things put together. I've been putting out free music for a long time, but I've been saving the best ideas and concepts for this."
