The Laundromat Cafe is the name of two cafés in Copenhagen
, Denmark
. The first one opened in Elmegade 15, Nørrebro
in 2004 and the second one in Århusgade 38, Østerbro
in 2006. As the name suggests there are laundromats in both cafés, earning it the title; "The world's hippest launderette" in Wallpaper magazine and a place in the Wallpaper travel guide.
In 2007, it received AOK's reader award for "Best brunch in town".
The Laundromat Cafe stocks thousands of books and the guests can also enjoy free wireless Internet connection.
The founder and owner is Fridrik Weisshappel.
