The school was formed in 1983 by the merger of Broadway Boys School in Cheadle and Kingsway Girls School in Gatley.

Charitable Activity

The school holds a Charities Day every year and a 13 mile sponsored walk every two years. The school has raised over £250,000 for charity since the inception of Charities Day.
