History

The group's four original members met at UCLA, where they were involved in choir and theater groups. Hanibal, the group's founder, approached the other members with the idea of performing in Spring Sing. Jeff, a composition student, became the group's arranger. The Jumpmen's name, suggested by member Hanibal, is a reference to Jumpman, the original name of Nintendo character Mario
