The Insomniax

The Insomniax are an urban music collective from the United Kingdom
made up of DSV (b. May 18, 1985), Stress Banger (b. Jan 21st 1985) and Kai Gama (b. Oct 8th 1978).
They first emerged in 2003 as staff producers for British independent record label Trinity Records where they created remixes for B2K, Beyonce and Nas.
In 2004 they contributed to the burgeoning UK music movement - G-Hop by producing classic tracks for Carl Ramsey, Rosie Wilson, and Carly Bond.
Their most notable musical output has come from their relationship with Hollywood actor Idris Elba
, whose debut musical album, recorded under the alias Big Driis, they produced in 2005.
In 2007 they formed their own record label - Dare Music in order to release their own material.
Their debut release on Dare Music is 'The Green Cross Code ep' released in October 2007.
The ep is a mixture of soulful lyrical vocal arrangement and gritty city London beats and guitars which has been described as Rock soul or London Soul.
