Plot

Starts with Hank and Drover being overrun by steers. Later on Hank begins talking to a still asleep Drover who says he wants to be a truck
Truck
A truck or lorry is a motor vehicle designed to transport cargo. Trucks vary greatly in size, power, and configuration, with the smallest being mechanically similar to an automobile...

. Later that day Hank and Drover urinate on the tires of cow shipping truck. Somehow or other Hank gets trapped on the truck and the steers bully him by stepping on his tail and paws. Hank is able to get off the truck once it reaches town. In town Hank knocks over a trash can and begins eating trash, then the dog-catcher catches him. At the dog-pound Hank meets his old basset hound
Basset Hound
The Basset Hound is a short-legged breed of dog of the hound family. They are scent hounds, bred to hunt rabbits and hare by scent. Their sense of smell for tracking is second only to that of the Bloodhound....

 friend, Ralph. At the dog-pound they talk about going on 'the fling'. The two dogs escape from the dog-pound cause chaos in the street. They escape from the dog-catcher, and decide to steal hot-dogs. They are able to steal the hot-dogs and Ralph escapes, but a large black labrador, Attila, chases after Hank and they put up a staged fight, but then Hank insults Attila's mother and Attila nearly kills him. Hank runs and finds Ralph, the hotdogs are gone. Ralph says they were stolen by Buster and his gang (who are town dogs who mug other dogs). Even though in reality Ralph ate them. Hank then leaves the town and on the way the two coyotes Rip and Snort come after him. Hank runs from them and hides from them in a tree, with the two turkey vultures, Wallace and Junior. All night Rip and Snort wait but then they leave at sun up.
