since 1951. For years, it was originally known as The Fisherman's Broadcast (or Fishermen's), but has been affectionately known as The Broadcast. The current host is John Furlong.

The Fisheries Broadcast currently airs on CBC Radio One throughout Newfoundland and Labrador every weekday afternoon at 5:30 P.M. (5:00 in most of Labrador).

The program celebrated its 60th anniversary in March 2011, making it one of the longest-running radio programs in North American radio history.
