In addition to this cooperation the Danish Board of Technology implements 5-10 annual projects selected by the Board’s executive committee. These projects typically include technology assessments while smaller projects result in articles in the quarterly magazine.

Duties and tasks
The tasks of the Danish Board of Technology includes independent technology evaluations, accounts of technological alternatives and consequences of new technology as well as communicating results to the Danish parliament, to other decision-makers and to the Danish public with the purpose of furthering public debate and knowledge of technology. The Danish Board of Technology is lawfully obligated to inform citizens as well as politicians about new technology. These are advised through a quarterly magazine published by the Board and via two newsletters.The Danish Board of Technology cooperates with relevant parliamentary committees on examinations and evaluations of societal issues related to technology. Methods
The Danish Board of Technology has developed numerous methods for the purpose of involving citizens, including the so-called Citizens’ Hearing and the Consensus Conference. By means of these methods, among others, the Danish Board of Technology seeks the counsel of common citizens with regard to societal issues, thus gaining knowledge of the public’s priorities, ideas and suggested solutions.
