The Catholic Sun is the official newspaper of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix. http://www.catholicsun.org/aboutus.html The bishop of the diocese publishes the paper once a month and registered Catholics from central to northern Arizona receive it. The paper was founded in April 1985 under the leadership of Bishop Thomas J. O’Brien and Christopher Gunty. The Catholic Sun, based in Phoenix, should not be confused with The Catholic Sun, based in Syracuse, N.Y.,http://www.syrdio.org/index.asp?path=CatholicSun which serves that diocese in a similar fashion.
