 Ryan Baker was worn by the statue during each home game. The tradition was started by a Purdue Army ROTC Cadet Tommy Woroszylo, who has since graduated passed on the tradition to the Army ROTC program. Since the 2010 football season current student and cadet Keegan Wisehart carries on the honor of hanging the jersey for each home game. The jersey has been shown on ESPN, written about in The Journal & Courier, and shown on the NBC show Parks & Recreation.
