Rangamma Perantalu Temple in this village (Just beside village pond), is one of the famous temples, having nearly 150 years of history.

Every year the festival of the goddess Rangamma Perantalu is celebrated with lots of devotion. People come from far places to offer the goddess all the owes. People believe she is most powerful goddess and the festival called as "Tirunalla" is celebrating the people one week every year in telaprolu village

The festival is performed in chaitra masam. On Pornami day, which comes next to the sriramanavami.
This tirunalla is a well example for unity in diversity of all casts in the village. The temple is under the maintenance of the Legal heirs of the Goddess. Farmers bring their cattle to the temple and take the blessings of the Goddess.

These is an old sivalayam (Gali gopuram) in the village.
Master G.S.Krishna- renowned Scientific spiritualist is from this village. He established Chidananda asharam trust.He is the caretaker of Centuries-old gayatri mandiram. He has started the "Yoga Siddha Ashram" in March 2010. The activities in the temple and ashram are aired 24*7 live. This feature makes it the only "Hindu-Spiritual organisation in India to have all its activities telecasted Live".

There is a big government high school near the village pond.There is a big play ground in it.There is a ITI college near the eluru canal.In village only there is intermediate college also.The students will come from neighboring villages.

Siva temple has a special feature. It turn to west.In whole India there are only 108 temples from kanyakumari to kashmir.

Telaprolu has 2 engineering colleges Usharama College of Engineering (URCE) and Sarojini Institute of Technology (SIT).
