Gameplay
The gameplay retains the classic feel of the series, which the ESRB describes as a "top-down arcade-style football game in which players compete against teams around the world to become the 'International Tecmo Bowl Champion'", with "animated cutscenes". While not licensed by the NFL as its predecessor was, the game is set up as loyal to that time - the first year in Season mode is played to the 19911991 NFL season
