. Taroona won 7-1 on aggregate, and as a result, Hobart United were relegated to division 1 for the 2007 season, and Taroona have taken their place.

They performed well in their first season in the Premier League, finishing 8th out of the 10 teams, ahead of New Town Eagles and Metro Claremont, and avoiding relegation.

In 2009, Taroona SC won the Division 1 title and were promoted to the Southern Premier League for the 2010 season.
