Background

The estate had two blocks, Yellow Stork House and Pine Tree House, which were built in 1960 and 1961 respectively. It was originally called Shu Kuk Street Government Low Cost Housing Estate , but it was later renamed to Tanner Hill Estate to avoid confusion with North Point Estate

. In 1996, the Hong Kong Housing Society announced the redevelopment plan of Tanner Hill Estate. In 2000, the estate was demolished. In 2009, two elderly housing started construction and it is expected to be completed in 2013.
