LRBT’s hospital commenced operation in 1985 initially as a mobile unit subsequently moving in to purpose built premises.
It has 40 beds. It serves the lower Sind area including the Districts of Badin, Thatta, Mirpurkhas and Thar.
Apart from patients from the catchment area around Tando Bago, the hospital is also the referral point for surgery from our PEC/Outreach clinics in Sajawal (Thatta), Mithi, Chachro, Diplo & Islamkot in Thar & from screening camps.
Patients from Thar are transported by LRBT.
The hospital is fully equipped with modern diagnostic equipment. Senior surgeons and administrative staff from Karachi visit the hospital regularly for technical and administrative support respectively.
Currently the hospital has been expanded which includes larger operation theatre, construction of new ward, screening rooms and a larger waiting area along with Doctor’s family accommodation.
