In 1998, she moved to Guangzhou
and studied at the Guangzhou Institute of Foreign languages. In 2000, it was the most important year for her in her career. She played the role of Musha in Chiung Yao
's (琼瑶) TV show, "HuanzhuGeGe" (还珠格格). Later, she played Azhu in "The Battle Wizard" (天龙八部), which was directed by Zhang Jizhong (张纪中).
2004 was a turning point in Liu's acting career. She became famous for playing the role Azhu, and she began to play the leading role in many TV plays. In the following years, Liu starred in many works. At the same time, her acting skills showed great improvement.
In 2008, Liu married Wang Ke in Beijing, and she gave birth to a daughter that year, and in September 2009, she her son was born.
