. He also runs Eltham Boxing Gym, but he later moved into acting. Tamer's son Taser Hassan currently plays professional football, and also has a godson Sam Bannister. Hassan also plays for Tamber, a small club in London. In his younger days he helped out at his family's kebab shop in Bermondsey. However he later quit this job, largely because he was often abused by drunken punters, who would constantly ridicule him for his mono-brow. It was this stint in the family business which earned him the nicknames "Mono-Brow Mug" and "the Bermondsey Mono". He stated in his biography that these cutting insults left him angry and disillusioned with the world, and it was this rage that inspired him to embark upon an Amateur Boxing career. His record stood at a respectable 25-7, in which he was only ko'd once, whilst scoring 15KO's in the process.
