. It was costed at 37,000 pounds ($74,000) and was completed by 1934.

The 'Father and Son' clock was installed at the top of the tower, with a pair of figures emerging from the building every hour.

By the mid 1990s the building had fallen into disrepair, and the clock had fallen out of use. A public campaign led by the Geelong Advertiser

Current tenants include Gloria Jeans coffee shop on the ground floor. The upper floors are occupied by offices.
