About the Council

The Council is made up for 25 councillors, 20 of whom are elected by the whole populace, and 5 under equity positions - Women's, International, Indigenous, Disabilities, and Queer. 8 General Councillors must identify as female. Positions on the Council consist of (with current councillors):
  • President -Angelus Morningstar
  • Vice-President (Policy) - Rashmi Kumar
  • Vice-President (Community) - Heidi Claus
  • Secretary - Kylee Hartman-Warren (acting)
  • Treasurer - Chihong Choi
  • Director of Student Publications - Kylee Hartman-Warren & Sophia Barnes (joint)
  • International Officer - Chihong Choi
  • Queer Officer - Angelus Morningstar
  • Women's Officer - Sophia Barnes
  • Indigenous Officer - VACANT
  • Disabilities Officer - Rosemary Whitecross (acting)

SUPRA Mandate

SUPRA exists to campaign on behalf of postgraduate students at the University of Sydney. This includes providing submissions to State and Federal Enquiries on matters for Education and Students' Rights, Queer Rights, Women's Rights, Worker's Rights, Childcare, Housing, and any other area to which students are concerned.
