n seven-piece rock, funk and disco band established in the late 1980s by Joshua Beagley and Roland Kapferer.. Fiona Ta'akimoeaka joined the band performing as lead vocalist as well as drummer Calvin Welch and keyboard player Tetsushi. After Ta'akimoeaka left the band, Rebekah Jane joined the group as lead vocalist.

Swoop achieved their highest levels of popularity during the years 1994 and 1995. The largest selling, and arguably most popular single for Swoop was the song "Apple Eyes". Swoop was signed to the Australian publishing firm, Mushroom Records. The band continued together into the late 1990s.
