Superbreak is a British holiday company specialising in short, city and theatre breaks. Founded in 1983, Superbreak was bought by Eurocamp Travel in 2005. Superbreak acquired Hotelnet in 2000 and made an operating profit of £4.2 million in 2009.
Prior to its purchase by Eurocamp/Holidaybreak
in 2005, Superbreak participated in the privatisation of British Rail
by acquiring Golden Rail in 1989 from the government.
Superbreak became part of a publicly traded company in 1991 when Eurocamp floated.
In 2007 Superbreak completed the takeover of London-based ticketing agency West End Theatre Bookings in a deal worth £3.2 million.
In 2009, Superbreak won three awards in The Co-operative Travel
Star Awards; Best UK Operator, Best Accommodation-Only Supplier and Best Online Booking site.
Superbreak won the 2010 Advantage award for "Best Agent Friendly Leisure Travel Company"
