is the tallest peak in the arid, low elevation Belmont Mountains
of northwest Maricopa County

. It is also the highest peak of the Hummingbird Springs Wilderness
at the northwest end of the Belmont mountain range. The wilderness' southwest border is the northwest border of the Big Horn Mountains Wilderness of the Big Horn Mountains (Arizona).
Both mountain ranges drain their northwestern desert wash
