Description

Typically it grows around 50 cm tall. The leaves are small, 7 to 24 mm long, 1.5 to 3.3 mm wide. Oblong or obovate in shape, with a sharp tip and very short leaf stem. Flowering occurs between April and August. Attractive red flowers 25 mm long and more or less tubular in shape. Occasionally the flowers are yellowish green or cream. The fruit is small and globular, containing five seeds.
