The Structure of the Spanish Navy in the New Millennium - From the early years of the 21st century the structure of the Spanish Navy
has changed, and under the new structure the Spanish Naval Force (Fuerza de Acción Marítima [FAM]) has been regrouped into four naval regions under the general command of the Spanish Admiralty
(i.e.: Almirante Jefe de Estado Mayor de la Armada [AJEMA] and Almirante de Acción Marítima [ALMART]).
