Storage Resource Management (SRM) is the process of optimizing the efficiency and speed with which the available drive space is utilized in a storage area network
(SAN).
Data growth averages around 50% to 100% per year. Companies are faced with rising hardware
costs and also the increased costs of managing their storage. Storage professionals who are facing out-of control data growth are looking at SRM to help them navigate the storage environment.
