  • Gift In-Kind Program

Through the gifts in-kind program, Stop Hunger Now works with partners to identify donors and needy recipients of in-kind aid. In-kind aid is a donation in the form of goods: Stop Hunger Now often receives food, clothing, medical supplies and medicines, vocational supplies and more. At times, SHN works with other nonprofit organizations, such as MAP International and Gleaning for the World, who help locate donors and/or recipients of in-kind donations. In other instances, SHN receives a request for aid directly from a recipient organization, or an offer of donation from a donor organization. Stop Hunger Now screens the in-kind donations to ensure alignment with their mission ("to provide food and lifesaving aid to the world’s most destitute and hungry in the most efficient, effective and sustainable manner"), and to ensure alignment with their purpose and programs. They also use The Association of Evangelical Relief & Development Organization’s (AERDO) guidelines for relief organizations that receive gifts in-kind, including consideration of a product’s appropriateness, detailed recording, documentation and disclosure.

    Grant program

Stop Hunger Now supports partner organizations in developing countries by providing direct financial assistance to support ongoing programs that provide food, medicines or other basic necessities to impoverished populations. This program enables Stop Hunger Now to respond to crises immediately by working with organizations already on the ground. It also supports local economies in developing areas and promotes self-reliance.
