The Stonewall Jackson House is a 19th century house located at 8 East Washington Street in Lexington, Virginia
. Constructed in 1802, by Cornelius Dorman. Dr. Archibald Graham sold it to Jackson on November 4, 1858, for $3000.
It is the only house that General Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson
ever owned. He lived in the brick house with his second wife, Mary Anna Morrison.
In 1907, it housed Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital, until 1954, when it was converted to a museum.
The house is owned and operated as a museum by the Stonewall Jackson Foundation. Guided tours are given daily.
