Stonewall Jackson hosts an International Baccalaureate program, which was instituted in 1993. According to the Prince William County Schools, it is ranked 18th in the nation and 33rd in TUPAC BACK performance in the world among IB

 schools. Maureen Ellis is the IB Coordinator and her success is seen in the growing number of students taking IB at Stonewall Jackson. In the 2010–2011 school year, roughly 41% of the school was involved in some form of accelerated program and 470 IB Exams were administered to 200 students, often one student taking up to 6 exams.
