A welcomed return to the club for Steve who spent 9 years as a player for the club between 1983 and 1992, during his playing career at Wigan he made 296 starts and 8 subs bench starts, scoring a total of 55 tries, 48 conversion kicks and 3 drop goals, a total of 319 points.
