Stephen D. Glazier is an American anthropologist. He has conducted extensive fieldwork in Trinidad
which focused on Caribbean religions such as Rastafari, Vodoun, and the Spiritual Baptists. He is a member of the Graduate Faculty in Anthropology at the University of Nebraska; where he teaches classes in anthropology, race and minority relations, and sociology of religion. He is a native of Connecticut
and received a Ph. D. from the University of Connecticut
in 1981. He has served as president of the Society for the Anthropology of Consciousness and secretary of the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion
