 and since 1852 it has made Bayreuth its home becoming in just three decades one of the best known manufacturers of grand and upright pianos.

In an era of mass production, the about 30 employees of Steingraeber are still mostly specialized in the artisanal production of the highest quality pianos. For example, for the housing only solid wood is used. Also in the treatment of surfaces, Steingraeber offers alternatives to polyester resin coatings like shellac, wax, etc.

Upright

Currently Steingraeber & Söhne offers upright pianos in the following sizes: 122 cm (48"), 130 cm (51"), and 138 cm (54"). Model 138 is the world's largest upright.

Grand Pianos

The line of grand pianos includes the following models: 170 (5'7"), 205 (6'9"), 212 (6'11"), D232 (7'7"), and E272 (8'11").
