In the second half of the season Sporting manage to get 7 wins out of 13 matches and finished 12th place in the league. Stanley finished the season with 3 goals from the league and cup. He was later released at the end of the season due to i-league new format of having only 4 internationals and no quota for Asian foreign player.

Stanley was a young prodigy from Bukit Jalil Sports School and at the age of 18 he made his debut with Kuala Lumpur FA in the premier league. He played for Kuala Lumpur FA for 5 years. Stanley moved to Malaysian Super League team UPB Myteam from Kuala Lumpur FA. He scored 13 goals for them in as many appearance in the Malaysian Super League, FA Cup and Malaysia Cup 2009. It was in 2009 Stanley made his debut for the Malaysia u-23 team and also had his 1st cap for the senior side.
