History

St. Paul's English High School was formed in the year 1942 and started in the rooms of St. Patrick's Cathedral in Saddar, Karachi, later moving to a location opposite PNS Dilawar in Saddar, Karachi that was previously a graveyard.

Organization

The schools comprises three sections, an English-medium ("St Paul's English High School" or 'section A') operating in the mornings, another (again "St Paul's English High School" or 'section B') in the afternoons and a third Urdu-medium school ("St Paul's Urdu High School" or 'section C') which also operates in the morning but in a separate campus. The morning classes cater to students enrolled for both matriculation and O levels the afternoon class is also enrolled for both matriculation and O levels

Silver Jubilee celebrations

The school does some extraordinary preparations for the Silver Jubilee of teachers. Who have served the school for 25 years. The celebrations make the jubilarians the star of the show.

Curriculum

Subjects taught are Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English Language, English Literature, Urdu, Mathematics, Islamic Studies, Commerce, Sindhi, Business Studies, History, Geography, Computer Science, Add-Maths, Accounting, Economics and Catholic Scripture.

School Maqazine

The School's magazine usually prints every 5 years. The Magazine is edited by the Editorial Board and some English Teachers.

Teachings and facilities

Section A is considered the primary section of the school and conducts classes from grades 1 to 5. Students are later given an option to study either for Pakistan's matriculation or Cambridge GCE

s. The matriculation system would conduct classes for grades 6 to 10 while an extra grade (11th) is added to the GCE courses. While the section A is for boys only, the other two sections have a coeducational attendance. Section B is different from the primary section in that it consists of classes from Kindergarten I and II, then grade 1 onwards to 10. There is no choice of further education, and students must study courses that fall under the matriculation curricula. Classes are held in the afternoons and are for both boys and girls.

Section C is built on a separate campus joined with A and B and teaches in an Urdu environment from grades 1 to 10.The school also has a library and computer laboratories, an on-campus clinic, and three canteens.
