The site of the St. Paul Minnesota Temple is also the site of a stake center, a larger meetinghouse for the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The temple is situated on a wooded 7.5 acres (3 ha) site. The building itself features a single spire and is covered with a light gray granite veneer.

 dedicated the St. Paul Minnesota Temple on January 9, 2000. The temple has a total of 10700 square feet (994.1 m²), two ordinance rooms, and two sealing rooms.

The temple received minor damage on September 10, 2008 in a fire that inspectors believe was arson.
