The present facility opened in 1984, and is the fourth on the property, which sits above the Clark Fork River. The name was officially changed from "St. Patrick Hospital" to "St. Patrick Hospital and Health Sciences Center" in May 2000.

The first floor is occupied mainly for outpaitent services, which some doctor offices. The second floor is also doctor offices. The third floor is mainly the Health Sciences center, and also outpaitent services as well. The fourth floor is occupied by the Western Montana Clinic. the fifth floor is mainly the Montana Cancer research Center. Finally the sixth floor is occupied by the Montana Neuroscience Institute.
