The present facility opened in 1984, and is the fourth on the property, which sits above the Clark Fork River. The name was officially changed from "St. Patrick Hospital" to "St. Patrick Hospital and Health Sciences Center" in May 2000.

Health and Sciences Center

Just south to the actual St. Patrick Hospital is the Health & Sciences Center which is a 6 floor building with 2 underground parking lots. It was completed in March 2002 and has stood as one of the tallest buildings in Western Montana

since its completion. The building replaced the old Broadway Building , and the new building obtained the same name. The first floor is occupied mainly for outpaitent services, which some doctor offices. The second floor is also doctor offices. The third floor is mainly the Health Sciences center, and also outpaitent services as well. The fourth floor is occupied by the Western Montana Clinic. the fifth floor is mainly the Montana Cancer research Center. Finally the sixth floor is occupied by the Montana Neuroscience Institute.
