History
SGHS was established in 1955, by the society of Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel, founded by the 17th century priest Saint Louis de Montfort (1673–1716). Late Rev. Bro. Vincent was the first principal. It was initially a boy's school, but later on co-education was introduced by Bro. Alexander in 1986. In 2006, the total strength was around 2100 students. Till April 2008 April, there were four sections per class, with an average of 50 students per class. This has been increased to six sections per class.Anthem and flag
