St. Anthony's School was started by Mr. J.V. Francis on 8 March 1971. Since then, the school has grown to a position of esteem in the capital. The best asset of the school is discipline and individual focus. The present Principal is Mr. C.A. Francis and the Vice-Principal is Mrs. M. Cooke.
The school has two buildings one featuring an auditorium and the other featuring a hall. Earlier, the school had only one building for the kindergarten students. Later, the newer building was built to support the Primary and the Secondary school. The newer building has an underground floor where the Science labs are situated.
The school has an This school has Audio-Visual Multimedia Lab for students to understand subjects in a more interactive manner. The school also features a highly advanced Computer Lab which is always available for students working on projects, etc. The school also has a very good library with a large number of books. St. Anthony's School has an National Cadet Corps
(NCC) camp; however, no Old Boys' or Girls' Association and no Bharat Scouts/Guides Association has been established yet.
The motto of the school 'Virtus et Labor,' translates to 'Virtue and Work.' The school started from a very small establishment on 8 March 1971, and today, it is one of the prime institutions of Eastern India much expressing the truth in the school anthem, 'Onwards Forever Onwards.'
