) appears and gives you the Spellbinder, in which three games can be played: Criss Cross (a crossword puzzle), Flash Card, and Word Search. By clearing the games, points are earned, and once enough point are obtained, the player can compete in the Spelling Bee against the Master of Mischief and his robots.

There are five levels of difficulty, each ending with a Spelling Bee set in a different location: Classroom (set in a classroom), Schoolwide (in the auditorium), Citywide (Town Square), Statewide (in front of a capitol building), and National (in front of the White House
