SpeedCast is a fixed satellite telecommunications service provider that offers managed networks services, value added services, and operates more than hundreds of SCPS links from its various hub sites across 35 countries in Asia, Middle East and Africa since 1999.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, China, SpeedCast has 10 international points of presence and 7-teleport-operations, throughout Asia and serves both corporate and carriers’ requirements. SpeedCast operating over 15 VSAT platforms, and provides operations services and direct support services for their partners and customers.

SpeedCast operates on multiple different satellites in both C-band and Ku-band, and also utilizes fiber network, SpeedCast has 150 partners worldwide and also provides value-added services and 24/7 technical support. Over 60% of SpeedCast’s active sites utilize the iDirect technology and the remaining sites utilizing ViaSat’s LinkStar technology. SpeedCast provides network services to industries like Cellular Networks and Operators, Maritime, Banking, and Oil & Gas.

 became a primary shareholder in SpeedCast in March 2000. In November 2007, AsiaSat purchased all outstanding shares to become 100% owner of SpeedCast. SpeedCast launched a diversity of satellite telecommunications service to customers over the course of the past 10 years.iv

Ownership

SpeedCast Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of AsiaSat, a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (Stock Code: 1135). AsiaSat is a leading satellite communications operator in Asia (www.AsiaSat.com). AsiaSat’s two major shareholders are CITIC Group and General Electric Company.

Key personnel

Pierre-Jean Beylier joined SpeedCast in December 2000, first leading Sales & Marketing activities and now as CEO since July 2004. During this time, SpeedCast has become a diversified satellite service provider in Asia, servicing enterprises and governments ' telecommunications needs and providing multimedia services to operators in over 30 countries.
