Special Ops Paintball is a paintball manufacturer, distributor, and online retailer specializing in paintball gear for woods or recreational players. Their service motto is "we are woodsball". In 2004, Special Ops also created the "Brigade" website.
In 2007, Special Ops designed the aesthetics for the co-branded Tippmann X7 paintball marker and created after-market parts for the Tippmann

The company launched their official online store and "Special Ops Brigade" web site in November 2004. The company then began publication of "Recon Magazine" in June 2006. In November 2008, the magazine was converted to a free online version and continues to be updated as of March 2010.
Due to the failing economy, Special Ops discontinued producing hard goods in 2009. Then Director of Soft Goods, Brian Russell purchased the company's public brands and relaunched the company as a division of Xtreme Stitchworks. Maintaining most of the brand's identity, Russell chose to focus the company's direction on soft goods while diversifying into wholesale manufacturing and other sporting goods markets.

Special Ops Paintball was started by Jayson Orvis, with brothers Jared Orvis and Rory McCarthy as partners. Scenario Paintball Players League
The SPPL (Scenario Paintball Player’s League) is a ten versus ten national competitive paintball league. At regional and national SPPL tournaments, participating teams and event referees vote (anonymously) for the team most deserving of the Sportsmanship Award. The prize package for Sportsmanship winners is equal in value to winnings presented to first place finishers.After diminishing participation, the SPPL was sold to Billy Smith of Low Country Paintball.
