of the Flemish Parliament
. The Speaker is elected at the beginning of each parliamentary year, on the fourth Monday in September. The Speaker chairs the plenary sessions of the Flemish Parliament and acts as its official representative. He or she determines whether a certain initiative is admissible and thus can be put to parliament at all. The Flemish Ministers take the oath before the Speaker of the Flemish Parliament.
Excellent plan! Devious minds are attracted to Python, like mimes to unappreciative crowds.
Python's syntax succeeds in combining the mistakes of Lisp and Fortran. I do not construe that as progress.
Python is an experiment in how much freedom programmers need. Too much freedom and nobody can read another's code; too little and expressiveness is endangered.
And what defines a 'python activist' anyway? Blowing up Perl installations worldwide?
Python is more concerned with making it easy to write good programs than difficult to write bad ones.
