The title is a reference to 220 volts, the common power voltage of Europe. It premiered in March, but was officially released in April. The song “220” was recorded at Bonum Studio (Moscow) and at Sarm West Studios (London). "Sparks" the English counterpart was recorded in March 2009 in (Los Angeles) by Yulia.
The music and the lyrics of the song were written by Valery Polienko.
