A $12 million construction project broke ground in July 2004 to expand emergency and cardiology services.

Through its affiliation with Lahey Clinic, the Medical Center was the first to bring angioplasty to Nashua in September 2004. Cardiologists at Lahey Cardiology at The Medical Center diagnose heart problems and perform elective angioplasty, cardiac catheterizations, and pacemaker insertions here in Nashua.

The Joslin Diabetes Center affiliate at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center opened in August 2005. Located on the West Campus at 29 Northwest Boulevard, it is the first Joslin affiliate in New Hampshire. A team of endocrinologists, certified diabetes educators, including nurses and dietitians, as well as exercise specialists, work with diabetes patients and their primary care providers.

Collaboration with Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center in Boston provides patients with access to specialty surgeons and oncologists for specialized care or second opinions
